BGT-PO180 | Polyolefin Back Grinding Tape
- 180 µm film thickness
- Urethane UV removable adhesive
- High accuracy and easy to peel
Product Description
LINQTAPE™ BGT-PO180 is a translucent polyolefin (PO) tape used in the wafer back grinding process. It is compatible to the BG standard, and is highly accurate. The tape provides an excellent balance of electrical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties. PO tapes have the same strong adhesion as a PET tape but are more easily removed from the substrate. This makes it ideal for applications where easy removal without any residue left behind is required. BGT-PO180 is has a low-viscosity adhesive, and is resistant to warpage.
LINQTAPE™ BGT-PO180 can be peeled by using UV. To ensure a clean substrate after removing the tape, BGT-PO180 utilizes a technology through which after applying UV light, the adhesive (18,000 N/25mm) becomes less tacky (80 N/25mm), which facilitates the removal of the tape. This quality makes the tape ideal for glass and other sensitive substrates. BGT-PO180 is a 150µm PO film, with a one-sided 30µm urethane adhesive layer, and backed with a PET liner. This product can be customized according to the customer's needs.

Technical Specifications
General Properties | |
Adhesive Layer Adhesive Layer A layer that is applied to one surface or both to bind items together and resist their separation | Acrylic |
Appearance Appearance Appearance at room temperature. | Transparent |
Film Thickness Film Thickness Film thickness is the thickness of a backing film without taking into account any coatings or adhesive layers. It is measured in micron and the conversion factor to mil is 0.039. | 150 µm |
Release Liner Release Liner A paper or plastic-based film sheet used to prevent a sticky surface from prematurely adhering | PET |
Total Thickness Total Thickness Total thickness is taking into account all the films, coatings, adhesives, release liners and special layers and is the maximum thickness of a film or tape. | 180 μm |
Mechanical Properties | |
Adhesion Strength Adhesion Strength Adhesion is the bond strength measurement of a coating to a substrate. When an adhesive is bonded to an item or surface, numerous physical, mechanical and chemical forces come into play, which may have an effect on each other. | 64748 Oz/in |
Elongation Elongation Elongation is the process of lengthening something. It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks. It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break. | 830 lengthwise, 740 crosswise % |
Tensile Strength (Thin Film) Tensile Strength (Thin Film) Tensile strength determines the resistance of a material to break under tension and it measures how much elongating load (or tensile stress) it can handle before fracture. To make it simple, it measures how much force we have to apply when pulling apart a material before it breaks. | 34 lengthwise, 30 crosswise N/cm |
